Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

US ORDERS

We currently use UPS, FedEx, and USPS for shipping orders within the United States.

Textile Yardage: Textile yardage ships with tracking from our manufacturers via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground at a flat rate determined by the amount of yardage.

Our fabrics are printed to order at our mills and each textile order will ship separately. You can expect to receive a tracking number and shipping details as soon as your fabric is on its way. Please note that if you place an order for yardage and for items which ship from our studio (textile swatches, pillow covers, porcelain, glass, placemats, or stationery), items from our studio will ship together while fabric will ship separately. Fabric yardage is always shipped and billed for shipping separately at a flat rate.

For orders over 50 yards or for expediting an order, please contact us at studio@venablemoore.com.

Textile Swatches: Textile swatches ship free from our studio via USPS. Orders are dispatched within 1-3 days, unless selected samples are out of stock. For expedited shipping, please email us at studio@venablemoore.com

Pillow Covers, Porcelain, Glass, Placemats, Stationery: All of these items ship from our studio with tracking via UPS. Please note that the lead times of these products vary and that orders will not be dispatched until all items are ready. If you would like your items to ship separately as they are ready, please email us *prior* to placing an order, as this will impact the shipping cost.

We offer free UPS Ground shipping on orders over $350 within the contiguous United States. This offer excludes textile and wallpaper yardage, which ships directly from our manufacturers and is always billed separately at a flat rate.

Every item we send from our studio is packaged using recycled, reused, and recyclable materials whenever possible. You can expect to receive a tracking number and shipping details as soon as your order is on its way.

If your package is lost in transit, we will do everything we possibly can to assist you. We cannot be held responsible for packages once proof of delivery is generated.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Our website is not currently equipped to process international orders, but we are often able to fulfill them. Please email us at studio@venablemoore.com for a specific shipping quote based on your order and location.

Please note that for international orders, any taxes and duties due upon delivery are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

As a small company creating primarily made-to-order pieces, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges at this time and all sales are final.

We want you to love your purchases and are happy to provide any additional information or images that would aid in the decision making process. Please email us at studio@venablemoore.com for assistance.

Due to the handmade and made-to-order nature of our items, colors can shift from lot to lot and from order to order in all of our products. If you are looking for uniform color in a set of items, we encourage ordering all materials needed in one order; we will not refund or replace for color lot mismatch. Additionally, due to the hand crafted and hand-painted nature of many of our products, slight imperfections and inconsistencies are normal. Examples include: print placement variations, small white spots or flecks of the ground on fabric, and small bubbles and seams in glass.

Each order is inspected prior to shipping; however, final responsibility rests with the customer. Please review your order upon receipt. If you believe your product to be defective, and it has not been altered or used, please contact us within 5 business days of its arrival. Fabric that has been cut, laundered, or altered in any way cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances. If your order arrives damaged, please submit relevant images and keep all original packaging and items. If you receive an incorrect item, or an item is missing, please contact us immediately so that we can assist.

-The manufacturing of our textiles is as carefully considered as their design. American mills print our fabrics using the highest quality non-toxic pigments and dyes. We do our best to keep orders of yardage consistent with samples, however we do print to order and color variation can occur. This is not considered an irregularity.

-True color and scale may differ from the representation on your screen. We strive to display the colors, textures, and scale of our products on our website as accurately as possible. Due to differences in screen settings, we are not responsible for variations between the actual product and the images you see on your device.

-Linen has long been prized for its natural and textured look. Its surface irregularities in combination with our printing process can result in minor variations. Occasional small white spots or flecks of the ground fabric may be visible. These irregularities are normal and are not considered flaws.

-Due to the hand crafted and hand-painted nature of many of our products, slight imperfections and inconsistencies are normal. Examples include print placement variations and small bubbles and seams in glass.

Do you have order minimums?

We have 1-yard minimum. For orders under 3 yards, a $45 cut fee is added at checkout to the shipping costs.

Do you offer swatches?

Yes! We recommend ordering swatches prior to placing any orders for yardage. Our two ground weights print slightly differently, so we advise sampling the ground in which you are interested. While we do our best to display our products as accurately as possible on our website, true colors and scales may differ from the representation on your device.

Do you offer CFAs or reserves?

Our textiles are printed to order, so there is no need to place a reserve. Because of this, CFAs are not available.

Do you have a trade program?

We do! We love working with designers and architects. You can apply for our trade program HERE.

How do I care for my textile yardage?

Spot treat or dry clean (perc-free only). Iron on a low setting on the reverse side of the print.

Our fabrics are not pre-shrunk, but they can also be machine washed. Machine wash cold with a phosphate-free detergent on a gentle cycle. Line dry or tumble dry on a low setting to minimize shrinkage. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.

Our textiles are not guaranteed against natural wear, stretching, abrasion, shrinkage, fading, or variations between print lots.

Do your pillow covers come with inserts?

They currently do not; we sell only the pillow covers. We offer standard size covers (20” x20” and 12” x 20”) and recommend slightly oversized inserts (22” x 22” or 14” x 22” ) for a full and fluffy look.

Do you offer custom pillow cover sizes?

Yes! As our pillows are cut and sewn to order, we are usually able to accommodate custom size requests. Please inquire at studio@venablemoore.com for more information on process, timeline, and pricing.

Our plates are made in small batches and ship within 3-5 days if in stock.

To note: Due to the handmade nature of these items, colors can shift from batch to batch. If you are looking to create a uniform set, we recommend ordering all of your pieces at the same time.

If a style is out of stock and you would like to be notified when it is back in stock, please email us at studio@venablemoore.com.

How do I care for my hand-painted glasses or vase?

Due to the delicate nature of our glasses and vases, we recommend hand washing with a soft sponge and towel or air drying. Avoid soaking, pricking, or scrubbing the painted areas to minimize paint chipping.

To note: No two of these glasses are alike. Because they are handcrafted, the precise pattern layout will vary and irregularities like visible seams and small bubbles are expected.
